Dual Enrollment Services

What is Dual Enrollment?

Dual enrollment is the simultaneous enrollment of a student at both high school and college in which the student receives credit on both their high school and college transcripts for the same course. Currently LPS students are enrolled in dual enrollment courses at Grambling State University (GSU), Southern University @ Shreveport (SUSLA), and Louisiana Tech University (La Tech). Many of our students in the dual enrollment program at SUSLA graduate high school with an associate degree; providing a huge jumpstart on their college education.

What is the Early College Academy Program?

The Early College Academy Program is a two-year program which allows eligible incoming juniors to take dual enrollment courses towards the attainment of an Associate of General Studies Degree. Currently our students participate in the Early College Academy through SUSLA, some graduating high school with both a diploma and an associate degree.
