FAFSA Application Deadlines (2024-25)

Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form allows you to be considered for federal student aid. In addition, states and colleges use FAFSA information to award their own grants, scholarships, and loans. But, since some aid is limited, you have to meet the deadlines!

Federal Deadlines

To be considered for federal student aid for the 2024-2025 award year, you must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form  by 11:59 p.m. Central time (CT) on June 30, 2025. Any corrections or updates must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CT on Sept. 14, 2025.

State Deadlines

Louisiana requires you to submit your FAFSA by July 1, 2025. It is recommended that you submit your application by Feb. 1, 2024. For all other aid, it is recommended to check with the financial aid office at the college or career school you plan to attend. Additional forms may be required.
